Gregory M. Sarjoo – Chief Executive Officer
Gregory is a hard-working, creative, committed and Seasoned Executive, focused on building businesses that change people’s lives. From Concept-to-Corporatization, fixing your balance sheet (Financial Services), supporting your operations (Professional Services) and growing your market share (Business Development Services).
A “Black Industrialist” at heart, with a Pan-African vision. He has been instrumental in the re-design of the PBS Group from a family-owned business into a family-owned Corporate Entity. His strategic direction and management of the Group’s diverse business operations – in the recent past – culminated in the establishment of five (5) sub-holding companies; PBS Foods, PBS PropHold, PBS Technologies, PBS Capital and CMC.
Gregory is also a founding member of The Niche Alliance, which is an affiliation of independently-owned Financial, Professional and Business Development Services Companies. The Niche Alliance has developed itself into a credible business model, with owner-driven partner companies, committed to shared Clients, ensuring a superior Client Experience.
Gregory’s leadership skills, proven entrepreneurial competencies, diverse experience, ability to design, and successfully execute strategy have prompted his appointment as Director onto various company Boards. His input has contributed to increased, sustained shareholder value. It is worthy to note that ALL business opportunities to date, have been organically grown and self-funded.
He has extensive experience in nationalizing and centralizing business operations having established company structures across South Africa, and has been influential in the development of a Pan African strategy resulting in secured investments outside South African borders. Gregory has been the author/initiator of the 5 OE (Operational Efficiencies) Management Model employed within the PBS Group of Companies, and at The Niche Alliance Partner Companies.
Gregory also sits on various advisory committees, one of which is responsible for the administration of cash assets just under R2 Billion (ZAR).
He has acquired several Diplomas and Certificates in Business Management and has an extensive CPD track record, he has also successfully completed the First Level Regulatory Examination: Representative and is a registered Key Individual. Gregory has two remaining subjects to complete his MBA – Finance.
Gregory is a family man, an aspiring golfer and grabs any opportunity to go on an adventure.
Nelson Naidoo – Finance Director
Nelson Naidoo Nelson Naidoo, has vast experience in the Financial Industry. From various accounting positions to the CFO of The Niche Alliance. Nelson has a solid understanding of financial and professional services with specialist knowledge in:-
Nelson has completed the RE1 & RE5 Regulatory Examinations. He currently working towards Key Individual accreditation. His vast business knowledge in strategy and operations has afforded him a significant understanding of the commercial and holistic operational functionality of SMME’s as well as larger corporate entities.
Melanie Sarjoo – Head of Risk Portfolio
Melanie Sarjoo is currently the Founder and CEO of Imbali Private Investment Holdings (Pty) Ltd a woman owned private investment business As an aspiring business woman , Melanie has 18 years solid Accounting, Internal Audit, Risk Management and Entrepreneurship and Strategic Business Development.
As a selected women entrepreneur graduate of the prestigious Goldman Sachs Gibs 10000 Women Global programme representing South Africa as one in 300 Women Entrepreneurs in South Africa, Melanie was nominated to be part of the Steering Committee for the 10000 Woman Alumni – WE300. Imbali Foundation is a Non- Profit organisation which Melanie founder over six years ago to honour and alleviate the struggle for learners with disabilities in inclusive education for South Africa. The foundation’s aim is to establish a full service inclusive education facility ( The Imbali Academy) – a first of its kinds in Sub Saharan Africa – as a flagship facility costing more than R300million of which Melanie has driven the vision, design and concept for over the past 5 years. Experience: Having worked in various industries including risk management, cellular communications, manufacturing, packaging, security, freight forwarding, offshore investments and most recently Furniture and clothing manufacturing, Melanie’s track record evolved in business administration, financial management; corporate governance, auditing and accounting principles including the facilitation of South African investor trust funds in conjunction with Deloitte and Touche in Gibraltar as the Financial Director for SJ Capital Group.
Her knowledge on FICA, foreign exchange and foreign investments expands in both RSA and the UK. Her accountability required that she independently put processes and systems in place in both finance and administration for SJ Capital’s offshore business structure, ensuring compliance with SA Reserve Bank, SARS and CIPC when they initially started operating in South Africa in 2006.
She was promoted from Admin and Finance Manager to Financial Director within the first 7 months of her employ and was part of a dynamic team that developed the business from a R600k turnover a month business to a R10mill a month turnover in trust funds within the first 18 months. Contract Management specifically offshore land sale agreements have proven to be a seamless and efficient process under her management and she secured offshore title deeds within 6 – 8 weeks.
Human resources including staff contracts, recruitment, performance management, payroll and compliance with the Labour relations as well as the implementation of policies and procedures in line with LRA requirements to name but a few, fall directly under her management. Oversight as a General Manager in multi-national, Service Level Agreements and managing client relationships is one of her many strengths.
Education: Melanie has obtained her education from various institutions namely; Wits Tech studying for her National Diploma in Cost and Management Accounting; Tech SA where she studied for her National Diploma in Financial Management completing her commercial studies in Business Management and a mini MBA through GIBS Business School which was fully sponsored by Goldman Sachs 10000 Woman Entrepreneur Programme.
Richard Ndlela – Strategic Business Development
Richard Ndlela brings a wealth of experience in Business Development, ICT, and Consulting to his role as Head of Business Development at Niche Asset Management (NAM). His primary focus is to build awareness about NAM and its strategic business Partners among prospective clients, and develop & maintain relationships.
Prior to joining NAM, Richard served as the Managing Director of SBC Productions which is a successful TV / Motor Media and Property Management Company and has an excellent track record with various blue chip clients renting out premium office space in the Office Parks owned by his Property Company.
Having completed shooting the SABC3’s Apprentice with Tokyo Sexwale, Richard was chosen to work with the Royal Bafokeng Economic Board, which is a Socio-Economic Development Enabler positioned to empower SMME’s in the tribal area of Rustenburg.
The Beneficiation projects of Impala Platinum, Xstrata and Lonmin served best for Richard to employ his philanthropic attributes.
With the success of the Apprentice TV show, Richard founded companies since 2007. He represented the Ann7 and The New Age as a motor Journalist.Away from the office, Richard enjoys motoring shows and spending valuable time with his loved ones.
